Work in Progress

Please Note: Blog Archives are at the bottom of the page.
I started this blog on June 14, 2012. I plan to post my previous scrap pages, from the most recent > working backwards; and add new scrap pages as I create them. It could take awhile, as I'd scrapped nearly 400 pages prior to starting this blog. Each one was the best I could do with the photos I had on the day it was made, and each has special meaning to me.

Puppy De-Stuffing Antics

On Sunday Emily (mLe Card) posted this on her FB fan page, "I would love to hear your bad dog stories!" So I proceeded to tell her about one incident from Dillon's puppyhood. This is what I posted ...

"Our current dog Dillon had a few bad dog moments when he was young, but nothing too serious. When he was about 11 months old he went upstairs to the second story of our house, grabbed a queen sized pillow off of the bed, dragged it downstairs to the main level and into the living room (an awkward thing to do as the pillow was almost as big as him), then proceeded to tear it into shreds. He didn't eat any of it thank God. I was in the kitchen and I never heard a sound .... he did it really quietly, haha. I finally realized he was being TOO quiet and went to see what he was up to. I took photos .... (and tried really hard not to laugh). Bad dog!!" :)

Well, today when I went online Emily gave us all a $2.00 coupon for telling her our bad dog stories. So I rushed over to Scrap Orchard and bought her brand new kit, 'Oh My Dog!' (mLe Card). It's on sale and is just too cute!!!

I told Emily...
"I have enough photos of Dillon and all his antics from when he was a pup to fill a large scrapbook. This is just a small sampling. These photos represent 3 separate occasions. The top two pics are from that pillow story I told you about. The bottom two are 2 different bunnies Dillon de-stuffed. He grew out of the toy destroying eventually, and he actually still has the last bunny we bought him in 2002. He has played with it every single day since then, and still carries it around with him in the evenings, haha."

Please note: I recoloured one of the dogs in the kit to look a bit more like a Springer (the one at the top sitting on the couch). It does not look like that in the kit. It's actually just a light beige colour, without the white markings. Oh, and I shortened the tail, lol.

Monkey Love :)

This scrap page is the result of a happy series of events that occurred in the last few days.

June 17: my niece Shannon wrote this on my Facebook wall... "You should let me know of any kits that you have that you need pics for. Just tell me the theme and color... I am bound to have pics of the boys in outfits to match, lol. That last page you made was adorable!"

June 18: designer "mle Card: scraps by the brush" gave out nineteen $6.00 coupons when her Facebook fan page reached 1900 fans. I was one of the lucky 19 people who won. I chose her adorable new kit "Monkey Love" ($5.99). I had no idea what pics I was going to scrap with it, but I fell in love with the kit.

June 19: I sent five kit previews to Shannon of cute kits that I had, including the preview of the "Monkey Love" kit.

June 20: Shannon wrote back, "OMG! I was just looking at the kits you sent me and then realized the monkey kit looked familiar!! Look at his hat! (that's Hayden lol) I have a few pics of him wearing this!"

June 21: Shannon sent these three photos of Hayden to me at 9:30 pm. They were taken at his Newborn Photo Shoot on February 21, 2011, by Lemon Love Photography. Hayden was 2 1/2 weeks old.

June 22: I made this page. This may be one of my favourite pages ever!!! Thanks soooooo much to designer mle Card (Emily) for the fab kit and to my niece Shannon for sharing these gorgeous photos. They are a match made in Heaven :)
